I can hardly believe the summer has come to an end, but it is so. Yesterday was the first day of work, which means lots and lots of meetings, and tomorrow I have my first concert of the season, with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra. Then classes start on Monday, and I have another concert with the Muncie Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday! In other words-- I'm hitting the ground running!
In addition to all of that, I am giving a recital on September 3rd as part of the "First Thursday" arts events that happen every Thursday throughout the city of Muncie. (I'll update my Calendar soon with the event details.) As a result, the last few weeks of summer vacation have actually been quite productive, as it's important to be in good playing shape well before a recital.
I'm really excited about working with my returning students again, and welcoming the new. The Viola Choir will have record numbers this semester, and the group is performing at a few events throughout town, so that's really exciting too.
There's much more to say, but for now, goodbye summer! You weren't quite long enough, but I'm happy to be saying hello to so much more music than you could provide.
