I'm writing from the Panera in Anderson, Indiana, where I'm performing with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra. We had our dress rehearsal this afternoon, and now I'm whiling away the time until our concert, which is tonight at 7:30 in the Paramount Theater in downtown Anderson.
It's going to be quite the concert! It's a Broadway review, with dancing and singing, lights, a rhythm section, an MC, and even an organ (for Phantom of the Opera, of course!). We are playing a lot of songs, some of which I've never before heard, and the soloists are amazing! Most of the headliners are in some way connected to Anderson, so it's a really special concert in that way. One of the world's most in demand tenors, Lawrence Brownlee, is singing tonight! He truly has an amazing voice. He did his undergrad at Anderson University, so we are really lucky to have a musician of his caliber to sing with us tonight. If you are in the area this evening and don't have plans, come check out the Anderson Symphony Orchestra's season finale. It will not disappoint!
