I'm happy to announce that as of this season, I am the new Principal of both the Anderson and the Muncie Symphony Orchestras! Last week Muncie had its inaugural concert at Minnetrista, like it did last year, and this week I'm in rehearsal with Anderson for our season opener. It'll be a great concert tomorrow, featuring Anderson's own 16-year old violinist Emma Campbell playing Haydn's 4th Violin Concerto. In addition to a fiery Mozart overture (Marriage of Figaro-- there's a finger twister!), we are playing the sublimely beautiful Beethoven's 7th Symphony. That second movement is one of my absolute favorite pieces of music. It's so great to play it!

Happy practicing!
