Anna Vayman had her violin recital this evening, and it was spectacular! She performed Beethoven's Sonata No. 1, then the Ysaye sonata for two violins with her son, Misha, and finished the program with Prokofiev's Sonata No. 1. So very very many notes, and all of them graceful and ripe with emotion and I'm sure exactly how the composers envisioned their realization. I'm a little awe struck, to tell the truth. ;) I feel blessed to call a musician such as Anna my colleague. It is an honor to make music with people who exude such talent.
