Today Ball State is being visited by the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. I am most excited about meeting these amazing musicians! At 1 PM, the Academy will present a master class (in Sursa Hall, free and open to the public) to a chamber ensemble of selected string students. They will perform the Elgar Serenade, without conductor, and I'm sure the Academy will have inspirational and insightful comments that will help the group sound even better than they already do.

And this evening, at 7:30, the ensemble will perform in Sursa Hall. I am very much looking forward to the concert.

It seems today will be an incredibly enriching musical day. Excellent!

Happy practicing!
