I had a great time playing with the Lubbock Symphony Sinfonietta this evening! We opened with Bartok Rumanian Folk Dances, then premiered a work called Danube Insights by Lyudmilla Kise, who is resident composer at TTU this year, then a super interesting and eerie piece for string orchestra by Finnish composer A. Salinen, and finally a Hayden symphony (no. 73). We didn’t have a lot of rehearsal time, but the concert was a success, in my opinion. I had fun, at least!

I'm still going full swing and am starting to get pretty tired, but luckily I had a relatively easy weekend to look forward to. Phew!

Happy practicing!
